PHP 8.0 is now available to upgrade-to for all our CLoud Web Hosting users. Also, PHP 7.4 has been updated by 20i engineers to 7.4.13 and 7.3 to 7.3.25.

As PHP 8.0 is a major revision, we’d recommend that you test your site thoroughly after the upgrade.

Step 1) To do so, please log in your StackCP dashboard and find a sub-section "Change PHP version":

Please, do take extra care with WordPress and other CMS systems:

  1. At present it's only 'beta compatible'. Please see this post from WordPress: https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/11/23/wordpress-and-php-8-0/
  2. Not all plugins support all PHP versions - if your site runs into a problem (not loading) just change back the PHP version.

Further information on all the PHP changes can be found on https://www.php.net
