Good practice is to have not more than 5 active tasks for a single Conversion Server > 10 active tasks for 2 Conversion Servers > 20 for 4 and so on.

Storage servers are used to store and serve video and photo content. In most cases, the content is stored on the same server as the site that uses it. Sometimes it makes sense to migrate the content to a separater server with a special configuration optimized for faster content serving. This can decrease primary server load.
