Start 22:15 GMT - 20i monitoring did alerted engineers team to an issue with network connectivity and it was started to be investigated.
Update 22:30 GMT - 20i engineers did confirm they had identified where the problem was and were now looking to resolve it directly. The next update was planned by 22:40 GMT.
Update 22:40 GMT - The problem was identified as being with an upstream provider and 20i System Administration team started working with them to resolve the issue.
Update 22:50 GMT - The root of the problem was currently being worked on in order to mitigate any impact on sites.
Update 23:15 GMT - Connectivity was resumed for all impacted sites. 20i System Administration team continued closely monitoring the systems and promised to provide further information shortly.
Update 01:05 GMT - At 22:20 GMT an upstream provider sustained a heavily distributed attack which in turn impacted websites and other services. 20i System Administration team made changes to mitigate this in the future.
Update 02:05 GMT - The multiple well-distributed attacks were still being mitigated, this did impact the load times of some services routing through the LHR CDN nodes. Some sites did temporarily experience connectivity loss during this time and we apologise to all who are affected by the disruption.
Update 04:39 GMT - There was still be some intermittent connectivity issues in some regions of North America and Australia.
Update 05:20 GMT - Mitigation measures are still in effect however the service is stable. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
